As part of the overall Intellectual Property Education and Awareness Program of the IPOPHL, the specific learning objectives of the event are:
- To learn emerging trends on Intellectual Property and other related rights.
- To acquire updates on local and international Intellectual Property Laws, rules and regulations.
- To offer a specialized topic or theme on intellectual property and arbitration for Intellectual Property lawyers and those who are interested in the field.
The program covers 36 credits units of topics within the prescribed curriculum of the MCLE, including substantive and procedural laws, legal ethics, alternative dispute resolution, legal writing and oral advocacy, international laws, trial and pre-trial skills, and MCLE-prescribed subjects. Presentations and discussions will revolve around intellectual property rights, issues, challenges, and trends in practices both in the national and international levels.
The program aims to provide both lawyers and non-lawyers a venue to facilitate discussions and learning on the emerging trends in intellectual property laws and other related laws.
