MCLE on IP and Arbitration: Enhancing Conflict Resolution on Intellectual Property and Building a Successful Career on IP Arbitration is a 5-day seminar on Intellectual property that is fully accredited by the Supreme Court-MCLE Office. It is a specialized MCLE activity focused on intellectual property laws and arbitration.
The conduct of the program is part of IPOPHL’s strategy toward enhancing IP education and awareness, not just among IP specialists and practitioners in the legal profession but among general IP stakeholders.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
As part of the overall IP Education and Awareness Program of the IPOPHL, the specific objectives of the project are:
1. To learn basics of IP and arbitration
2. To acquire updates on IP and arbitration laws, rules and regulations;
3. To offer a specialized topic or theme on IP, IP-related and arbitration laws for lawyers and those interested in the field;
4. To offer accreditation/certification on IP and arbitration for lawyers and those interested in the fields.
WHY TAKE THE COURSE?
The program covers 36 credits units of topics within the prescribed curriculum of the MCLE.
In this lecture series, participants will also learn the aspects of arbitration, through the partnership with the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The program aims to provide both lawyer and non-lawyer participants from various sectors (law firms, academe, science and research, government agencies and partner institutions) a venue to facilitate discussions and learning on the emerging trends on IP, other IP-related laws, and arbitration laws.
