Chile aims for strengthened bilateral cooperation with PH- intellectual property to play key role

The Consul General of Chile, Hon. Isidora Rojas met with top officials of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) on May 30, 2018 to discuss the centrality of intellectual property to the South American country’s increasing bilateral trade and commercial activities with the Philippines.
Among the issues discussed were trademark protection, geographical indications, and intellectual property enforcement in the light of the promising campaign for Chilean trade such as in spirited beverages. Other topics for probable bilateral treatment have also been explored.
