In a bid to strengthen camaraderie and sportsmanship within its workforce, the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines held the IPOPHL Sportsfest 2018 on April 4, 2018, part of its slate of activities for the kick-off week of the National Intellectual Property Rights Month, April.
IPOPHL Director General Josephine R. Santiago led the opening of the fun-filled event, underlining that cooperative and team-building activities strengthen the culture of excellence IPOPHL cultivates in its employees.
IPOPHL’s Deputy Director Generals Nelson P. Laluces and Teodoro C. Pascua, along with IPOPHL’s full board of Bureau Directors attended the event.
“Just like our day-to-day work in IPOPHL, sports is heavy in collaboration and teamwork, and requires a character of excellence - all of which we strive to impart in activities such as these,” Director General Santiago said.
“It’s my personal vision to put IPOPHL on the map of government agencies to be an example for a culture of excellence and performance,” the IPOPHL head added.
IPOPHL Sportsfest 2018 saw the full-force participation of IPOPHL employees from all seven bureaus, including utility and security personnel.
More than a hundred of IPOPHL’s workers took part in the whole-day event, which included competition in basketball and volleyball.
A parade of colors, and a cheer dance competition preceded the games.
