IPOPHL SIGNS BILATERAL AGREEMENT WITH IP OFFICE OF SINGAPORE (IPOS)

Director General Josephine R. Santiago signs the Memorandum of Bilateral Cooperation with Chief Executive Daren Tang of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) to cooperate in the development and promotion of the intellectual property system in the Philippines and Singapore.

The areas of cooperation cover: 1) capacity building and training activities on office administration patent search and examination, trademark examination, human resources development, quality assurance, intellectual property administrative hearing procedures, as well as IP rights creation, protection, enforcement; 2) IP Education, role of IP in promoting innovation and creation, technology transfer, IP management, valuation and commercialization; and, 3) exchange of IP information and best practices.
