We are pleased to invite you to the IPOPHL-World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Mediation Option seminar on August 8, 2019, Thursday, which will be held at the IPOPHL Library at the Intellectual Property Center, Upper McKinley Road, Taguig City.
The seminar aims to guide lawyers and counsels on how to avail of the IPOPHL-WIPO Mediation Option.
This mediation option is established by the IPOPHL and the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center (WIPO-AMC). The joint dispute resolution procedure is especially advantageous for international parties seeking to settle related disputes in multiple jurisdictions.
Disputes that can be resolved through this option may be related to, among others, trademark opposition pending before the IPOPHL, administrative complaints for violation of intellectual property rights, disputes involving technology transfer payments and disputes relating to the terms of a license involving the author’s rights to public performance or other communication of his work.
Ms. Chiarra Accornero, an expert from the WIPO-AMC, will be the discussant.
