The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) will hold a seminar on Madrid Protocol on 21 & 22 November 2013 at the New World Makati Hotel. The seminar is part of a series of pre-accession information dissemination fora and post-accession promotion for the better use of the Madrid system in the ASEAN region under the auspices of the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area. The seminar is also co-organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

International speakers from WIPO and the private sector have been invited to speak on the Madrid system, their experiences in the use of the national and international trademark protection routes, and the value of trademark protection to their respective companies.

The one-day seminar is free of charge and is open to trademark owners, business groups or associations, small and medium enterprises, and trademark attorneys and representatives.
