#WriteAboutTheWorld targets artists in the literary and music sectors who can write creative and original pieces. The written pieces must focus on their human experience and life during the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has affected their thoughts. It can also cover their reflections on the new normal moving forward, as well as how their spirituality or hope plays a part. Pieces in the forms of essays, poems, short stories, comics or musical compositions will be accepted.
Submission
of Entries
- Only one (1) entry is allowed for each participant. Open to all Filipino citizens, regardless of age
- Participants may opt to use English or Filipino. The use of local language is
also allowed, provided that there will be either English or Filipino translation. - Must not have been submitted to a simultaneous contest or
its copyright previously transferred to another. - Must have not been published or currently published in any publication or social media platforms.
- Deadline of submissions is on or before 5:00 PM, 15 June 2020.
- Entry Form must be completely filled out
Entry can be submitted to any of the following formats
Essay
- The submission may be in handwritten form, MS Word or PDF
- Number of words: minimum of 500 words and not exceeding 1,500 words
POEMS/LYRICS
- The submission may be in handwritten form, MS Word or PDF
Short stories/ Children’s Stories
- Submission may be in handwritten form, MS Word or PDF
COMICS
- The comic strip, webtoon or 2 pages paneled comics
- Colored, black & white or line art;
- Open art style
- Must be Rated GP
- Submission in PDF format
Content and Relevance to the theme - 40%
Creativity/Style and Originality - 30%
Coherence of form and structure - 30%
Total - 100%

- Short Story/Children’s Story/Comics (30 entries)
